The ICDL Graduate School is committed to the pursuit of excellence, welcoming applicants who have a strong interest in working with infants, young children and their families, to promote their mental health and overall well being.
The ICDL Graduate School maintains a selective admission policy, considering students who express enthusiasm, creativity, personal maturity, leadership and the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in the field of infant and early childhood mental health and developmental disorders.
The ICDL Graduate School’s dual program composed of online courses and practicum, gives preference to candidates who show discipline, self-motivation, computer proficiency, and the ability to work independently.
Admission Criteria
Because of the online nature of the academic program, students are expected to be computer proficient and have daily access to the internet with a permanent email address. To ensure applicants meet these requirements, all application materials are submitted via email as Word or PDF files. Exceptions are made for confidential recommendation letters and official transcripts, which are sent directly to the admissions office in California.
Preference is given to applicants who have a Master’s degree in fields related to children with special needs (e.g., speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, social work, and special education) or comparable experience working with special needs children.
